A major advantage of implementing a loyalty program is that the company gets access to a wealth of customer-related data. There is a lot of information that companies can obtain from their customers. Most of which are mainly for the perks of the business, but there is some good for the customer as well. Along with the obvious customer specific offers that come via email, customers can normally also track their purchases. With some programs, you can even reprint your receipt should you loose it and wish to return something. Sounds like this technology and data mining of customers can be a win-win.
